We always love to see hot up-and-coming brands and We Are The Market has introduced us to Public School.

Public School is a new menswear brand designed by Dao Yi Chow and Max Pierre. The duo are co-owners of Miami boutique, Arrive. Their Public School collection is inspired by their days in the NYC public school system.

Public School makes use of high quality fabrics cut in an edgy and sophisticated way paying homage to New York City.

The brands manifesto is:

“Rebellion. It’s at the heart of every cultural movement. It’s the force behind change, helping to sway the power from the status quo. In constant action against the expected, we hold a pen in one hand and a sword in the other, critiquing the culture we help create, stripping the emperor of his clothes and dressing the new guard. Welcome to PUBLIC SCHOOL—prepare for the re-education.”

‘Jack Spade‘ is pissed at having their stuff stolen!!!

Complex gives a run-down of…um…how shall we say…’upaid for goods’…which include:

-a library cart filled with books which can be borrowed for free
-a park bench which sits outside the shop
-a small enamel store sign (which was epoxied to the brick façade) was stolen
-a two hundred pound ping pong table with no legs

DAMN! That’s a lot. Our pockets would say the same thing, Jack!
