A Peace Treaty is an evolving collection that seeks to produce ethical and artisan quality accessories and apparel. Skilled artisans are employed from places of socio-political strife to bring their products to a global audience. The brand was born from Farah Malik, a Pakistani Muslim and Dana Arbib, a Libyan Jew who met and developed the idea when living in Rome.
Each collection focuses on a specific region and accessory to bring limited edition pieces to market. The 2008 collection from A Peace Treaty compromises of finely woven/hand loomed scarves from the Punjab Province of Southern Asia.
Prices range from $88 to $98.

Givenchy has entrusted artistic director Riccardo Tisci with men’s ready-to-wear and accessories duties. The marks the first big-name designer for the brand’s menswear since the departure of Ozwald Boateng. Menswear has been in the hands of an unnamed design team in the interim.
DNR reports that, Tisci’s first men’s wear collection will be presented for the spring 2009 season….The moves a clear affirmation of the work he has done with women’s rtw, haute couture and accessories, and helps ensure a measure of continuity at the storied French maison, which had previously struggled to find its creative footing since the 1995 retirement of founder Hubert de Givenchy.”
