Director Woody Allen sued American Apparel Inc. this past Monday for using his image in ads without his consent.
The ads in question, which appeared in New York and California, portray Allen dressed as a rabbi. According to the lawsuit, “Allen does not engage in the commercial endorsement of products or services in the United States”.
Allen is seeking damages worth over $10 million, according to the suit.
