There’s nothing better than discovering a new label. And recently Format Magazine informed us of the Staple collection for Spring/Summer 2008.
The collection is fresh while incorporating classic touches. The gray sweat jackets were inspired by designer Jeff Staple’s high school gym teacher and include hoods and rib knit details.
They reminded us of Thom Brownes’ Spring Summer 2008 collection (seen in the pic of the model with the surfboard).
That damn ubiquitous plaid is worked into track pants and shorts as sport and suit are mashed together. Both the pants and shorts are made with a super thin wool suiting fabric.
The tee’s in the collection can only be described as smart with graphics such as the never ending Pi (3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993751058209…) and the order of operations (Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally) graphics as well as Einstien.
Classic long sleeve polos feature a 3 color placket interior collar stand to round out the collection.
