Earnest Sewn has announced the next designer collaboration in its ongoing ‘Back Room Installation Series’.
Ruffian will take over the back room project space of earnest Sewn from May 27th to June 9th to celebrate the Fall 2008 collection collaboration. The collabo will feature two parts as Ruffian uses the premium denim from Earnest Sewn ans fashions it into tailored garments. In other part of the collabo Earnest Sewn mixes Ruffians custom European textiles and puts in their own denim spin to create the ultimate luxury jean.
The installation itself will be designed by artist and set-designer Anne Koch and aim to juxtapose youthful innocence with the wariness of rebellion.
Ruffian is a critically acclaimed label started four years ago by designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais who have previously collaborated with Chanel and Swarovski.
The shop-in-shop project will include a selection of the Ruffian x Earnest Sewn collaborative pieces and a number of exclusive limited edition designs.
The ‘Back Room Installation Series’ has been a success as each month they invite a like-minded artist, brand or project to showcase their concept in the retail stores 420 sq. ft. back room. Past guests have included: houseware creator John Derian, Rogues Gallery, Trilogy, artist Ian Hundley, performance art group Japanther, skin care line Malin + Goetz and various charitable projects.
