In a collaboration sure to send ripples throughout the fashion industry french giant Louis Vuitton has teamed with avant garde giant Comme Des Garcons. The two will open a joint Tokyo store in September where you can purchase six different specially designed bags. The bags will be designed by Rei Kawakubo in the iconic LV monogram print. Kawakubo said the designs were “party” bags with multi-handles or two handles transforming into one.

Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs said of the collabo, “It is impossible to overstate Rei Kawakubo’s influence on modern fashion….I find it wonderful to think that 30 years ago, this immense talent, someone who has inspired so many others, was inspired by Louis Vuitton.”
